| How can anyone stay healthy at this massive convention |
Conventions are fun and a great place to network and find
possible buyers for the next great thing. They are also massive collection
spaces for the most commonly passed viruses. KH Direct Media shares tips to
stay healthy at conventions.
Nothing can ruin an exciting and successful time at a
convention than a nasty bout of “con crud” once home. No one wants come home
sick and be derailed by a rotten cold, the flu or something else. Here are some
tips for staying healthy at conventions:
A few weeks before the big event, add more fruit and veggies
to meals. They pack needed vitamins and mineral to bolster the immune system. Eat
more lean meat, chicken and fish which builds up protein to keep muscles flexible.
Add some daily exercise to the day. A 30 minute walk really
does help keep colds away. At the very least, it lessens the severity of them.
A little more exercise also keeps bones and muscles limber and able to walk the
miles around convention halls, climb stairs to hotel rooms and the dexterity to
squat and pick a convention favor off the floor.
At the convention, buy a small bottle of hand sanitizer and
use it before eating. Fist pump people you meet instead of hand shaking. If by
some chance, there is someone who prefers a handshake, indulge them.
KH Direct Media also suggests getting plenty of sleep,
minimizing alcohol consumption and eating healthy meals. But we are also
realists and know that sometimes this just won’t happen. In that case, remember
that anything done in moderation is best for keeping the “con crud” from
becoming the full-fledged nerd flu.
