Stress is felt in almost every part of the body from sore,
red eyes to aching backs and excruciating migraines. KH Direct Media offers
tips to manage stress in the workplace, which we inevitably bring home.
Imagine that you are an inventor or creator of something and
an interested party informs you that they are interested in seeing that item.
However, it is (in your opinion) months away from perfection. And the
interested party wants to meet you and see the next great thing in a week.
Your back muscles start to ache, your hearts starts to beat
a little harder and faster, and your nerves a rattled. This is the beginning of
what stress usually feels like for most people. Here’s how to stave it off and
get on with the day, week and, later month so the next, big thing is really
something to talk about.
Walk away from the project when you feel you are hitting the
wall and getting nothing done or are frustrated. Go outside or go into another
room. Just get away from the work for a short time.
Practice breathing a little slower. Inhale deeply and count
to ten. Exhale to the count of ten. Do it with your eyes closed. Repeat three
times.
KH Direct Media also suggests a complete change of attitude.
A positive attitude can reduce stress and ease physical and mental pain. It can
also make the difference between getting the project done on time or cause
stress-induced delays.
Stress management is within your grasp.
