KH Direct Media on How to Banish Negativity

Negativity can bring anyone down. Inventors and creators are not exempt from the kind of thoughts that can end a great idea before it even gets put on paper.  KH Direct Media shares how to banish negativity.

At some point in life, our thoughts will take a downward turn. Negativity will seep in and bring doubt with it. And the next best thing will be nothing more than a fleeting thought. Here’s how to rid the mind of that hovering dark cloud.

Close the eyes and clear the mind of all negative thoughts. If one sneaks in, imagine it as a boulder and move it out of mind.

Never say never. Never say it can’t be done. It can be done and is about to be done, so just get to it.

First prototypes, like the first drafts of anything, are usually terrible.  Don’t let this be a deterrent to the final product. Keep hammering, chipping, or building at the invention and soon an almost perfect sample will emerge.

KH Direct Media also suggests taking some time way from the invention on a daily basis. Walk away. Take a walk. Listen to music.  Meditate. Read something completely unrelated. Inventors are passionate, imaginative and driven. Don’t let negativity from yourself or anyone else throw the creative idea out the door.

KH Direct Media and What Americans Do with Free Their Time

A favorite way to spend off time

Americans are working less hard than in previous years. They are also spending the time off doing things which are pleasurable and relaxing. KH Direct Media looks at what Americans do with their free time.

The typical working American puts in about 7.8 hours at work, and when they have time off spend it watching TV. In fact, the employed person spends a little less than 3 hours per day or evening watching television. Americans are also sleeping more which is good news for overall health. KH Direct Media notes that men take more time to chill than women, according to a recent survey. Woman get about 5 hours of leisure time to men’s almost 6 hours.

It may be interesting to know that Americans have cut back how much they spend on education, shopping for non-essential items, calling friends and family on the phone or in email. Workers are also getting more time to work from home with older employees gaining the most from that type of arrangement.

Everyone needs time to get some R&R and watching TV is a favorite way to do that. It is also a smart avenue to consider when marketing a new product or service. Solve a problem or find a new solution for one. The world is an oyster. Open it up and find the pearl.

KH Direct Media Reflects on the Oldest American Companies

Baking chocolate

Some businesses and products stand the test of time – even when that time is well over 100 years old. KH Direct Media examines the oldest American companies and the products which live forever.

A quick glance in the medicine chest or bathroom closet might some of the longest lasting products known today. Caswell-Massey, founded in 1772, make the finest and more pure soap. Its pear soap which is glycerin-based, is one such product from the company that fans still swear by 263 years alter.

More home bakers use this one product to make everything taste richer and with more chocolate flavor than any other. Baker’s Chocolate, founded in 1765, began selling it branded chocolate in 1780. It eventually grew into more than just a baking ingredient by selling unsweetened cocoa powders, sweet chocolate, candy-making chocolate and flavored chocolate bars.  It is still a pantry staple 263 years later.

A well-dressed man will more than likely have if not one, but several shirts and suits in his closet with this name on the tag – Brooks Brothers. KH Direct Media notes that this is the oldest clothing retailer in America. The first store opened in 1849 debuting its first ready-made suits. In 1896, their famous button down polo shirt was introduced. Today, there are 250 American stores and 250 international locations.

The oldest American companies stood the test of time for hundred of years because their products were made well and were able to stand the test of time too. Great products made well never go away. They are distributed across the world so others can enjoy the benefits of them.

KH Direct Media Offers Financial Advice for Inventors and Entrepreneurs

A great idea can take hold like the strong grip of baby and be off like a firestorm. KH Direct Media offers financial advice for inventors and entrepreneurs.

The best idea can crumble like an inflated balloon if not carefully financed. Smart inventors do not take the risk all alone. Finance it on a crowd funding site, ask a trusted friend to invest in the idea, business or item. Carefully calculated much each person is to invest in the endeavor. Ask a financial advisor to help so partners do not feel slighted in their personal savings situations.

Research the cost of the item or service. Add in the appropriate self-employed costs if this is how the business is run. Ask a tax advisor to help work out how much should be saved for tax return season.

KH Direct Media also suggests setting a last ditch deadline for determining if you can manage on the income the service, product or company is generating. If not, regroup and work out how much longer it will take.  It is one thing to feel the entrepreneurial spirit, and another to feel it and go broke trying to make a new company or invention profitable. Not when to call it quits before depleting personal life savings.

KH Direct Media Offers Advice on Taking Risks

It is always better to take risks than to have regrets later. This rule applies to personal lives, careers and hold especially true for creators and entrepreneurs. KH Direct Media shares advice on risk taking.

Jump off the platform and take the risk of developing a product that solves a problem. It can solve a problem better than another product or solve it for the first time. What is there to lose than a little time and effort? Entrepreneurs take risks every day. Inventors take them one step at a time.

Take action on the invention even if it is possible it will fail. Failure is one of the main fears people have. No one wants to be seen as one. Yet, we all fail at something some point in our lives. Face fears. Move boldly ahead. Action creates confidence and confidence boosts self-assurance.

Set goals high and set more than one goal. As you come close to reaching one or more, start the process to reach the others. Write down the loftiest goal in mind and if it is reached, create another one.

KH Direct Media reminds inventors, creators and entrepreneurs that risk taking is not only essential in the business world, but exhilarating. Take a step off of the safety platform and dive into the unknown. Positive results may just be waiting.
